From the very first scene, the premiere makes it clear that this is a story about duality and contrasts. We are introduced to the Tekinoğlu family, living a modest life centered around their father Sami's simit bakery in Istanbul. The show’s central dynamic is between the two brothers, Kuzey (Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ) and Güney (Buğra Gülsoy). True to their names, they are complete opposites. Kuzey is the younger brother: rebellious, hot-headed, and fearless, often letting his fists do the talking. He has a good heart but his anger frequently lands him in trouble. Güney, the older brother, is the calm, responsible, and hardworking "good boy" who excels in school and acts as a peacemaker in the family.
