Greg and Rowley decide to enter the school talent show as a magic/comedy duo. Rodrick’s band, Löded Diper (awful heavy metal), also enters. On show night, Greg’s magic trick goes wrong: He tries to make Rowley "float" but drops him. Then, Rodrick’s band plays so badly that the fire alarm goes off. Both fail.
