For many 90s kids, "Khilona Bana Khalnayak" (खिलौना बना खलनायक), which translates to "The Toy Became the Villain," is a cinematic memory that still induces a shiver of excitement. However, there's a crucial fact to understand right away: It is the Hindi-dubbed version of a highly successful Marathi-language movie named "Zapatlela" (झपाटलेला) , which means "Possessed."

However, Baldev harbored a dark secret. To ensure the doll truly "guarded" the boy, he used an ancient ritual to bind a spirit to the wood. But the ritual went wrong. Instead of a guardian, he invited the soul of a vengeful outlaw who had died in the nearby hills decades ago.

The story follows (known as Tatya Vinchu in the Marathi version), a dreaded gangster who uses a mystical mantra to transfer his soul into a doll just before being killed by Inspector Mahesh. The possessed doll is eventually bought by a shopkeeper named Lakshya, who soon realizes the doll is responsible for a series of mysterious deaths. Primary Cast Laxmikant Berde as Lakshya. Mahesh Kothare as Inspector Mahesh Jhadav. Dilip Prabhavalkar as the voice of Tatya Bichoo. Kishori Ambiye as Gauri. Vijay Chavan as Hawaldar Sakharam. Where to Watch Legally
