This paper examines the popular 1960s sitcom "Gilligan's Island" as a cultural artifact that has been reinterpreted through a trans lens. By analyzing the show's themes, characters, and narrative structure, this paper argues that "Gilligan's Island" can be seen as a parody of traditional gender roles and societal expectations, which becomes more pronounced when viewed through a trans perspective. Furthermore, this paper suggests that the show's campy humor and over-the-top characters make it an ideal candidate for queer reclamation and subversion.
