Aashiqui 2 is a spiritual successor to Mahesh Bhatt’s 1990 classic Aashiqui . The plot follows Rahul Jaykar (Aditya Roy Kapur), a fading rockstar battling severe alcoholism, who discovers Aarohi Keshav Shirke (Shraddha Kapoor), a talented bar singer. Rahul vows to make Aarohi a star, guiding her to massive success.
