Entering a valid key transitions the software from the Free/Trial version to a paid tier (such as Professional, Enterprise, or Perpetual). This lifts limitations on the number of databases you can back up.
Activating your key is a straightforward process that requires an internet connection for validation. Open the SQL Backup and FTP desktop application. Navigate to the menu on the top toolbar. Click on Activation or License Information .
💡 : The free edition does not require a license key. It works out of the box for FTP backups. Upgrade only if you need cloud storage or batch restore.
