Avoid skip-updating over multiple patches. If your save is very old, install intermediate versions sequentially, open and re-save your progress in each version, and then bring it over to the newest build. Problem 2: Missing Progress on Android

Do not rely entirely on the Quick Save or Auto Save slots. Manually save in slots 1 through 5 at pivotal story junctures so you have several fallback points if one save becomes incompatible with a future patch.
