: Simon’s insatiable nature cannot be bound by marriage. He becomes entirely infatuated with Golden Lotus (Pan Jinlian), played by Serina Hayakawa. Lotus is trapped in a miserable marriage to the poor, physically deformed street vendor Wu Da-lang (Frankie Ng). Driven by mutual lust and ambition, Simon and Lotus conspire to assassinate Wu Da-lang, paving the way for Lotus to enter Simon's household as a concubine.
