Moving beyond stereotypes of joint families and arranged marriages, this study uses ethnographic snapshots and thematic analysis to examine how Indian families navigate work, food, technology, and rituals. The daily life stories collected reveal a unique blend of collectivism and emerging individualism, where resilience, hierarchy, and affection coexist within crowded urban apartments and sprawling rural homesteads.
